1994 Mustang Cobra Cold Case radiator install with modifications
Hope this helps someone else! I didn't expect all this, and possibly you will not have my clearance problems. But these are good to know going in. If you need to do these mods, do at your own risk, I'm just trying to help out.

Just a few highlights, White Corvette tried to run into me, Porche 911 Turbo "gettin it", cruising into the show, and the cement factory tearing down a chunk of the mountain.

That didn't go well. Thought I would do some fine tuning, but bad breaking up with it on. (first 2 runs) disabled it and she runs great... And got a young coyote crossing the road looking for lunch...

94 Cobra first test new WK 420L fuel pump (80lb injectors used)
Переглядів 26Місяць тому
Been fighting fuel pressure drop under boost for a long time. Everything I read said the 340L fuel pump was more than adequate for 15 Lbs. of boost. Last ditch effort was the DW 420L in tank pump which did the trick! I Have the boost set to 12.4 lbs due to the 91-octane available here.
fuel pressure problem
Переглядів 312 місяці тому
following another suggestion, I removed the hood and installed an actual direct pressure gauge. this pull resulted in a 15.4 psi max. The fuel pressure should match the boost pressure, but it's not. Still trying to find the cause.
went to a bike show on Sunday.

Lagging fuel pressure increase under boost. 94 Mustang Cobra. My oil pressure gauge is fuel pressure
Переглядів 473 місяці тому
Just did this video to show what is happening. 94 Mustang cobra 373 cu in. ON3 turbo kit. I have a 340 L Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator. Peak boost 10 and 10.5 psi respectively. Intake pressure taken directly to the regulator port. Can't figure out the problem.

The only available Holley "elbow" is 90mm, and I'm using a 75mm throttle body. So just a short video of what I did to make them work together.

just a video showing the inner parts of the pivot and bushing material types. You can also go through the other side and knock out the bushing material on the second bushing that is left in.

Thanks for posting this. Mine just started to pee on the driveway...
Thanks for showing the fitment issues. Making me rethink getting one. Hopefully it lives up to the hype!
Lots of cool bikes
I was hoping to see a sideview of both bikes John.
There is a shot at the beginning of the video
@@johnnydanger57 I must have blinked. I’ll watch again lol
Looks like Texas (apart from the corners!) Love the red switches. I'd be even more impressed if you got them to work. 🤣
Northern New Mexico, you were close! And I agree with the switches...lol
Totally sweet John.
Warp Drive. Death Lazer. Smoke Screen. Awesome.
Those are always fun for comments...
@@johnnydanger57 The smokescreen one is real. Idle it around town for a bit and then open her up. I had an H1 engine in a KH250 chassis - seemed like a good idea at the time. Bike sounds awesome, nothing like that triple howl.
@@kaycee600 Oh, no one behind me for about 3 miles can see a thing... literally
Johnny there used to be a ole hotrodders trick to seal the top of the grill assembly to the radiator support to force airflow thru the radiator instead of escaping into the engine compartment. It doesn't matter how much radiator you have if you don't have airflow. It sure doesn't look like you have room for auxiliary fans.
Thanks for the reply.
Meticulously perfect ❤
Thank you, I was just about to install a new washer pump and couldn’t find where it was, gonna go on Amazon and buy new plastic pins now so I have it ready. Only question I have is am I gonna have to remove the tire or should I be good not to, I really just don’t wanna dig out the jack.
I doubt you can get to it without removing the tire. Small bottle jacks are cheap now... ;-)
By any chance once you remove the K-member, does it give you access to the oil pan
I never tried, but I would take an educated guess that it would. Of course you would need a way to support the engine.
@@johnnydanger57 Okay I had the same thought, I really just didn't want to pull the motor in this instance so I will give it a shot thanks for the response even tho this is an old topic
few problems I see: you have a tach in front of a tach original steering wheel is better bc aftermarket wheels always look like crap front spoiler shouldn't be straight, should be angled down spinners don't look right stance is wrong, car sits too high should just delete the mach 1 badging, make it cleaner looking bc mach 1 convertible is a lie should never cut into the original panels to install cheap and ugly wal-mart speakers lastly, get rid of that fugly radio and go original, no one buys these cars to listen to the radio anyways
Caro sold a long time ago, and it's a great car just as it is...
How do you like it? Thinking about buying one
An aside. Early H2s with plastic swing arm bushes. All magazine reports ; none complained about handling, from new; that I've read. Bad handling mentions seem to start up all on used machines, four years later. my theory is worn plastic bushes; or the steel and sintered. Three to four years later. :)
It actually didn't take that long...
You’re still a Kaw Triples LEGEND!!!
Thanks, Jeff! I still feel like a guy that just loves the triples and wants to help others to keep em running...
Thank you very clear for H1 beginners , Manuel (Spain)
Hi Johnny. Do you know where you can get parts still for these engines. I have one I want to rebuild. Thanks
New parts, midatlantic, jessbikes, diablo. Used parts triplestuff.net
Wouldn't coaxial work then?
SOLD
What The price?
sold a year ago...
They don't have a tire starter...then they check timing for him to ride down the road.....c'mon
Hurley was a factory H2 racer and mechanic... who are you?
Jeeeeeze … filmed by Stephan Hawking
U could have taken a punch and knocked the center of the rivet out then used a normal drill bit for the outer part..just for future refrence
Did you ever make a video on the modified tools you used to mount the lugs?
Sorry I didn't follow up, and honestly I don't remember what I did. Most likely I ground a shallow relief trench in an extension , just enough to clear the arm.
This thing is junk....just kidding nice ride
this is not useful on a 72 non ac blower motor , the motor is not where this one is
Well, it say right in the title: AS blower motor Sooooo.....
Started doing this in the early 80's when I went racing. Works great. The reason for the weatherstrip adhesive is it can absorb vibration due to its rubbery consistency. I use this on lots of bolts that have a high vibration. In chains, it's the vibration harmonics that cause the master clips to come off. Now that the current crop of chain links are smaller, the vibration is less and we don't clips getting lost so much. With old chains, we had big links that hit the sprockets hard and really tried to destroy themselves.
Aren't you going to attach a thimble to catch the spare sparks?
Thanks
It's hard to see the force on the jugs. I am not a tit man.
Nice car Johnny. I just wanted know if you remember what jetting your G3SS has. Any info much appreciated Thank You
Oh man That was many years ago, and I used a 22 mm carb off a 250 triple. I have no clue, sorry. And thanks!
After a nuclear exchange, the only things left will be the roaches, Twinkies, and the small-bore rotary-valve Kawasakis. The only thing of mine that's rideable is the 1967 120. Husky's broken, Maico's broken, Triple's broken, Honda car is broken, but the 120 never fails.
Hi Johnny do you remember what size main jet you are running??
Hi Johnny i know this an older thread but I just wanted know what jetting might be on a stock G3SS with an aftermarket expansion chamber like Walms??? Thank You
Bro I got anxiety with all that exhaust in the closed garage
Thanks brother, insanely helpful as I have V6 04!
What if you have pod filters that you have to reinstall after
Now if they’d ban Crotch Rockets that can really ride a bike ,the road would be fun to ride again.
Lol now banned!!! That route has been off limits to semi trucks for years. That idiot probably just got his CDL 4 days pryor and he ended up on the dragon lost!!! Lol
Well, this video is 8 years old so… 😂
Gift me this rocket bike 😅
(Old Guy) right! Still kickin eh! Have a safe and great season!
Great looking bike, rev her up and stuff the climate potato! I had an H1 engine in a KH250 frame back in the day, run an RD250 these days.
Snap crackle Pop!! Love it John
Cannot always blame the drivers of these rigs, their gps sends them this way, after all it is a US route; not some local road, and once they are in there, there aren't many options but to keep moving ahead, no place to turn around.
There are big signs saying not a big truck route. Nice try though...
This is the same curve where I saw, in 2007, a rig headed in the opposite direction of the one shown in the video and his right drive wheels and tires were not even touching the inside of the curve. There was about 3 feet of shoulder on the left to get around it.
Yeah ! I've have my 1971 since 1981 and have been thru much those crazy issues. Thru the years i've bagged a bunch of spare parts, whether I needed them or not. Good Luck, nice looking car when complete, but Ford quality was bad on the body.
John clearly had no idea what he was doing. He ruined a nice looking car by unnecessarily cutting on it. My neighbor and I just installed the rear shocks on a 1972 Mustang convertible in about 45 minutes. No cutting, no issues. If you lift the car properly the rear shocks will expand and there is plenty of room for installation.
Was that a 1975? Just judging by the powerband.....
Can I just hone the cylinder from .030 to .040 to fit the new piston and rings or will it need to be bored at a shop? I bent the ring and piston groove reinstalling the cylinder. The .040 is all that's available. It was running nice but needed transmission work. (1971 Hodaka 100cc)
Only if you have a machine shop Sunnen hone. A ball or blade hone will warble out the bore badly.
I use Gas A Just and King Springs on my 2014 Aussie Ford Falcon (4L inline Six) and the handling is great but definitely harsher compared to OEM. Handling improvements include reduced body roll and more responsive. Car feels very stable. On bad rough roads it can become a little harsh, but on good highway it is great. If you want comfort, you may want try Excell G from KYB which is softer.
